Last week, on what was probably one of the most gorgeous days we’ve had this year, I headed down to Washington DC to meet up with Laura and Matt in Georgetown. So often, when people think Georgetown, they think M Street — the heavily commercialized and trafficked part of the town with lots of shops and college students. But if you just go a few streets back, you discover an absolutely beautiful, idyllic historical place, with amazing houses, incredible architecture, and relatively quiet, calm streets. That’s the part of Georgetown that I got to explore with Laura and Matt, who had done a lot of homework and planning of some really great locations for us to shoot in. I had a fantastic time walking the streets of Georgetown and getting to know them better and then they totally blew me away by taking me to a lush, tranquil garden right in the heart of historic Georgetown: Dumbarton Gardens. It was so amazing. Talk about a wonderful way to spend an afternoon! I had a blast and I can’t wait to shoot Laura and Matt’s wedding in just a few weeks!!
