My next blog post covers the very first wedding of 2015 but before I get to that…I need to post Emily and Aaron’s engagement session first!
Last spring, Patrick and I drove up to Gettysburg, PA for Emily and Aaron’s engagement session, since Aaron was a history major in college, worked there, and Emily and Aaron spent quite a bit of time there. Unfortunately, just as we were about to start the session, the skies opened up and rain started pouring down on us. We had been checking the weather all throughout the day and the rainstorm caught us by surprise so we decided it would be better to wait to do the pictures until later. The upside was that we stayed and had dinner together at a cute pub in Gettysburg and really got the chance to hang out with Emily and Aaron and get to know them well (it made me wish I could have a dinner date with all our wedding couples!).
As the year went by, we tried to reschedule the engagement session a few more times, but the weather was constantly against us each time. Finally we caught a break last November (though even then I swear a small raincloud passed over us and sprinkled down on us for a few seconds!). We’d changed the location of the shoot by this time to Galloping Goose Vineyard, where Emily and Aaron had gone for Emily’s birthday last year and Emily thought would make a cute spot for pictures — and it really did! I loved this session with this awesome couple. I couldn’t have been happier to work with them both for their engagement session and wedding and I can’t wait to share their wedding pictures from a few weeks ago here soon! But in the meantime, enjoy these gorgeous, lush country and fall themed engagements!
