Today’s engagement shoot is a shoot in two parts. When I first met with Chrissy and Steve to work together last fall, the time for my due date with Cora was quickly approaching, leaving little time for a full engagement shoot. But because we wanted to make sure they would have pictures for save the dates, we went ahead and did a mini-shoot in Historic Ellicott City. The choice in the location was almost kismet : Chrissy and Steve had only just visited Historic Ellicott City a few weeks prior and had been thinking what a great little place it was. When I suggested it in line for something “vintage” it was perfect. We walked around and got some awesome evening shots that had some of those warm fall tones to them. Flash forward to the spring, we met again at Cromwell Valley Bridge Park with their adorable dog to complete the session. Cromwell has the advantage of having wide open spaces that are lovely for shooting, while still having some of those rustic buildings to shoot in also. I love the contrast between these two shoots in terms of the seasons. I also love working with Chrissy and Steve — they really are wonderful. Here are some of my favorites from both of their sessions. Enjoy!
