I couldn’t help but to use this title given the wind gusts the morning of this engagement shoot with Lauren and Reza. It started as a gorgeous fall Sunday — cool crisp air, beautiful high blue skies, fluffy white clouds — a truly beautiful morning. It was a little chilly, but nothing to complain about (for me at least; I end up spending so much time moving around or concentrating behind the lens that I I usually don’t notice I’m cold until after I’m done shooting). I met Lauren and Reza at Harborview and we decided to start our shoot over by the piers. That’s when we noticed the wind! It was particularly strong by the water (of course). Honestly though, it’s always interesting to me to see what unique new challenges each location shoot brings — and come up with creative ways to deal with it.
After our shoot by the Harborview piers, it was time for an outfit change for Lauren and Reza and then a walk over to Federal Hill. I can’t tell you how much I love shooting at Fed Hill — there are just soooo many places there to shoot and the backdrops are gorgeous views of Baltimore City. I had a great time walking around with this sweet couple and getting to know them. I wish them all the best in their awesome Louisiana wedding this winter and am glad I had the chance to capture some beautiful moments between them for engagements!
